About the Foodlands Corridor Restoration Program logo
Rivershed is grateful to Kwantlen artist Brandon Gabriel – Kwelexwelsten, who worked with the Rivershed team to design the Foodlands Corridor Restoration Program logo. His artwork reflects the deep connection he has to the land and captures the values Foodlands is working to encompass. We are honoured he shared his creation with us.
The Foodlands pilot site is on Kwantlen First Nation territory, which is why it was important to us to work with an artist from Kwantlen First Nation.
The logo incorporates elements that symbolize water, food and wisdom, and represents the Indigenous-led collaborative spirit at the heart of the Foodlands program. Richelle Giberson, Rivershed’s Director of Communications and Design, worked with Brandon to design the logo based on his artwork.
