Rivershed is a watershed-focused organization that supports long term care for the Fraser through relationships, place-based initiatives, and shared learning. Rivershed connects people, knowledge, and action, helping align restoration, youth engagement, shared data and learning, and policy so that efforts in one place inform and strengthen watershed resilience over time.
First Nations have stewarded these lands and waters since time immemorial. This long-standing relationship to land and water continues to shape how watershed care is understood today and informs how Rivershed approaches its programs and relationships.
Throughout the Fraser Watershed, people are restoring habitat, building local capacity, creating sustainable livelihoods, and preparing for a changing climate. Rivershed helps connect and support these efforts so that work happening in one place can inform and strengthen efforts in others.
This work contributes to four interconnected outcomes that define a resilient Fraser Watershed: healthy salmon, strong communities, sustainable local economies, and ecosystems better prepared for climate impacts such as floods, drought, and wildfire.
Rivershed programs include the Foodlands Corridor Restoration Program; youth engagement and watershed career pathways through the Watershed Workforce; the Watershed CPR Dashboard, which connects data and learning related to watershed health; and policy and systems work that helps sustain watershed health over the long term.

Rivershed acknowledges our position as a settler‑led organization working on First Nation and often unceded territories throughout the Fraser Watershed. We recognize the responsibilities that come with this position and remain committed to learning from and working alongside First Nations and Knowledge Keepers to strengthen the health and resilience of the Fraser Watershed.
