Watershed Workforce: Nechako

August 9-10, 2025.
Vanderhoof, BC (Nechako Region)

This two-day immersive experience is designed for youth (ages 15-20) interested in discovering career paths that support watershed health and their communities.

Day 1

Day 2

Fraser River health index and invertebrate sampling – Learning how to assess river health through aquatic species.

Tour the proposed Foodlands Corridor Restoration site – Learning about native plants and the landscape.

Hands-on activity at the proposed Foodlands site – Contributing to restoration and learning about native ecosystems.

This is a two-day, overnight experience, and a packing list with required supplies will be provided closer to the date of the trip. A small refundable deposit of $50 is required to confirm your spot, which will be returned upon participation*. If this refundable fee is a barrier, please let us know.
*Note: This fee will not be refunded to registrants who don’t show up or cancel less than 72 hours in advance.
