Watershed Security Fund
The Province of BC has released a public discussion paper on the BC Watershed Security Strategy and Fund. The government is accepting feedback on the discussion paper until March 18, 2022.
We encourage everyone to provide feedback on the Watershed Security Strategy Discussion Paper, if you can. Here are some great resources to help guide your response:

- Funding Matters: Resource Document for Submissions to the BC Government on the Watershed Security Fund.
There are two ways to make a submission on the provincial engagement website. You can fill in an online survey or make a written submission, or you can do both.
The government is accepting feedback on the Watershed Security Strategy Discussion Paper until March 18, 2022. A Draft Strategy will be released by the government for further engagement in Fall 2022.
What is Watershed Security?
Watershed Security is access to clean drinking water (a basic human right), healthy and sustainable fish populations, and thriving local economies with good jobs that allow people to stay in their local communities. It is also government to government partnerships that enable better watershed decision-making, healthy and resilient communities that result from these decisions, and watersheds that support economic, social, and cultural practices.
