Sustainable Living Leadership Program

From Headwaters to Sea

*Due to COVID 19 the SLLP is not currently being offered.

The SLLP takes community leaders working on Watershed CPR (Connect. Protect. Restore.) on an intensive 1-month program down the length of the mighty Fraser River.

About the SLLP

Participants travel from the Fraser Headwaters at Mount Robson all the way to the Salish Sea by canoe, raft, shuttle van and on foot.

Participants engage with inspiring community leaders when stopping in communities along the way. They learn about Watershed CPR while connecting with the river and a team of leaders. The SLLP focuses on improving leadership, team building, conflict resolution, communication and critical thinking skills while traveling through the Fraser’s ten biogeoclimatic zones.

Each day they are surrounded by breathtaking scenery, from ancient rainforests, deserts and grasslands to sage brush and floodplain. By the time they reach the Salish Sea, participants have designed their own Watershed CPR project and gained the skills and confidence to make a difference.

*Please note this trip is alcohol and recreational drug free.
