Watershed Workforce Program

Building a Pathway to Environmental Careers

The Watershed Workforce program connects youth (ages 15–20) with hands-on opportunities to explore watershed stewardship, learn from experts, and contribute to the health of the Fraser Watershed. Guided by the principles of Two-Eyed Seeing, this two-day experience combines paddling in the watershed with community-based restoration projects.

Participants gain practical skills, explore pathways to local career opportunities, and discover work opportunities that not only support their families but also contribute to the health and resiliency of their local watershed.

This program aims to show youth that meaningful, rewarding work is possible in their home communities. It highlights a diverse range of career opportunities that contribute to a thriving local watershed.
