Justine Nelson

Executive Director

Justine Joined the RSBC team in 2017 as a grant writer, and her position quickly evolved to Executive Director. She is excited to be able to work everyday with the RSBC team to Conserve, Protect, and Restore the Fraser River and its watershed.

The Fraser River has been an important part of the landscape of her life. Most of her professional career has been focused on the Fraser Watersheds health: from restoration programs in parks, to community organizing and education. Ever since she was a child, she has been vocal about protecting the natural world, and had a strong connection with water.

She has a B.A.A. Honours in Criminology from KPU and a M.Ed. in education for sustainability from UBC. She currently lives in Glen Valley across the road from the Fraser River.
