Event Support
Andrea has over a decade of experience in communications and community development, working with local and international non-profits. She has volunteered in St. Lucia, Brazil, and Peru and holds a degree in Global Development Studies from the University of the Fraser Valley. While studying, Andrea interned with a maternal and infant healthcare organization in India, worked at youth and adult homeless shelters during the COVID-19 and opioid crises, interned with MCC’s Indigenous Neighbours program, volunteered with a prison mentorship program, and was Editor-in-Chief of The Cascade. Post-graduation, she has worked as the coordinator for a local climate action project, as a communications specialist for a homeless outreach organization, and as a resident worker in low-income housing.
In her free time, Andrea enjoys hiking in forests and swimming in lakes with her sweet mutt, Dozer, and cultivating her little urban garden in downtown Chilliwack.
