Fernanda Diaz-Osorio

Operations Coordinator

Fernanda joined the Rivershed Society of BC in 2025 to support the organization’s internal operations and help coordinate team efforts that Connect, Protect, and Restore the Fraser Watershed.

She brings experience in water policy, stakeholder engagement, and interdisciplinary research, with a background working in projects across Canada, Mexico, Switzerland, France, and India. Fernanda holds an MSc in Water Science, Policy and Management from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Global Resource Systems with a focus on Environmental Sciences and Economics from the University of British Columbia. She is passionate about supporting values-based teams and contributing to community-led approaches to watershed governance.

Fernanda lives in Vancouver, on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. In her spare time, she enjoys learning new languages, long-distance running, tennis, climbing, cycling, and connecting with the rivers and trails of the West Coast.
