Director of Strategic Initiatives and Government Relations

Roberta joined the Rivershed Team in 2020, bringing with her more than 25 years of communications, government relations and community organizing experience. She worked on Parliament hill for almost 20 years and has extensive legislative and government knowledge, including deep connections to the labour movement. Grassroots organizing and mobilizing for change has always been her passion. Roberta spent her early years advocating on behalf of workers in her community and building labour/community partnerships. She was awarded for her efforts with the ‘Labour Citizen of the Year’ Award by her local Labour Council in 1995
