Join us for a webinar and strategy session to begin developing a collaborative conservation strategy for the Heart of the Fraser (the region of the Fraser River between Hope and Mission, BC).
January 25th, 2022
9:00 am – 4:00 pm (PST).
Currently, there is no collaborative plan to protect the Heart of the Fraser and previous efforts have had mixed success. This strategy session, hosted by the Pacific Salmon Foundation and the Rivershed Society of BC, will bring together a network of engaged and interested stakeholder groups to explore the need, threats and opportunities for a conservation plan in the Heart of the Fraser.
The intent is to provide a forum for exploratory discussions about how to better protect this crucial habitat and the diversity of wildlife that it supports.
Details to follow, but sign up for the event here and save the date in your calendar. We will have speakers from First Nations organizations, DFO, the provincial government and local experts.
This session is an open invitation, you are welcome to forward this invitation to relevant contacts within your network. The audience is intended to include stakeholders and people with technical, policy and management backgrounds.
This strategy session is being organized by the Pacific Salmon Foundation and the Rivershed Society of British Columbia.
