Riding the Pitt River Greenway.

FraserFEST Group Bike Ride – Trip Details and Registration

Saturday, September 21st: 5-6 hour cycle journey.

This ride starts and ends at Colony Farm Regional Park in Coquitlam. It crosses the Fraser and Pitt Rivers via three recently built cable bridges (Port Mann, Golden Ears and Pitt River Bridges). Connecting the bridges are major greenways and three regional parks.

The route takes you through Tynehead Regional Park, Surrey Bend Regional Park, along the Golden Ears Way bike path, the Pitt River Greenway and the PoCo Trail while the FraserFEST canoes will be traveling on the Fraser River from Fort Langley to Colony Farm Regional Park.

The section from the Golden Ears Bridge in Surrey to the Pitt River Bridge in Pitt Meadows follows the Trans Canada Trail and is also part of the Experience the Fraser project’s route. This section, including a portion of the PoCo Trail to Colony Farm Regional Park, is also part of the Canyon to Coast Trail.

See a Google Map of the route.

Level of difficulty: This route is basically flat and is made up of dikes and slightly rolling trails. The most difficult grades are over the three bridges.
