To celebrate World and BC Rivers Day on Sunday, September 28th, Voyageur Adventures and the Rivershed Society of BC teamed up to host the Voyageur Canoe Fundraising Challenge, a half-day paddling event on the beautiful Fraser River.
The weather was beautiful, it was warm and sunny the day of the event. There were a total of 19 participants in two canoes from a diverse range of backgrounds who took part. Seals and eagles made appearances during the paddle from Maquabeak Park in Coquitlam to the New Westminster Quay.
The event raised approximately $2,300 for the Sustainable Living Leadership Program. Thank you to all the participants and those who supported the event.
