Oliver grew up in the Cariboo Chilcotin and currently calls Williams Lake home. When not out snowboarding in the winter, he’s a diligent advocate of waste management and education. He teaches with the Cariboo Chilcotin Conservation Society about recycling and the effects of waste on the environment. He also works with the Potato House Sustainability Project where he gets his hands dirty and oversees the city’s only food-waste collection program, turning kitchen leftovers into beautiful soil additive. He rode the The Mighty Fraser River as a participant of the SLLP in 2016 and continues to do so as a facilitator from then on.
