Lisa has lived in wild, beautiful places as long as she can remember. Growing up in remote areas of Northwest BC shaped her sense of place, passion, and commitment to caring for the world. Lisa has volunteered with numerous conservation groups over the past 20 years and has worked in field research doing forestry, fisheries, bird, and plant studies. In 2018, she participated in the Sustainable Living Leadership Program. Her project focused on creating “Rivershed Stories” about her cohort of nine SLLP 2018 graduates. She holds certificates in Coastal Eco-Adventure Tourism, Professional Publication Writing, and Magazine Publishing. Lisa currently lives in the Cariboo Region and is the Publisher/Editor in Chief of The Green Gazette magazine. She attempts to juggle her passion for writing, photography, and activism with time spent exploring wild places. Nature is by far her favourite and most inspiring teacher.
