Lara Volgyesi

Foodlands Corridor Restoration Project Lead

Lara is a landscape architect with more than 20 years of experience in place-making through collaborative and sustainable design. Her experiences living and working in the Pacific Northwest and Interior regions of BC have led to a passion for these ecosystems which has driven her to find innovative ways to preserve and enhance the natural environment while creating beautiful places. More recently, Lara worked with bio-dynamic ranchers in the traditional, unceded territory of the Tŝilhqot’in Nation, to execute their vision of reconnecting people to where their food comes from. This transformative experience has led her to apply her knowledge, skills, and passion to questions of sustainable and inclusive food systems, Indigenous – settler relations, and the restoration of multiple connections through the development and restoration of foodland corridors in BC.
