You must be between 19 to 35 years old, physically fit, willing to lead, work hard, and have a strong interest in sustainable living. You are adventurous, creative, a community-builder and team player. Preference will be given to those who live and volunteer in the Fraser River Basin.
On the trip, you will help with meal preparation, camp set-up and other duties. Meals are local, organic and meatless where possible. We practice no trace camping. Drugs, alcohol and smoking are not permitted.
Only 10 participants accepted.

How to Apply
To be eligible, you need to fill out the online registration form by Friday, May 31st, 2013, attaching the following documents with your online application:
- Your cover letter explaining your leadership qualities, volunteer history and why the SLLP is right for you (2 page max.).
- Your resumé including two references with contact information.
- Your sustainability project idea summary, describing the sustainability project you will implement in your community after the trip. You must work with a local organization (Indian band, stewardship group, university, college, government, etc.) to implement your project and it must be an education, awareness, monitoring, restoration, advocacy or social enterprise project, focusing on a key issue surrounding the Fraser River (750 word max.).
In addition, we will need to receive your $1,500.00 registration fee by May 31st; make cheques payable to: Rivershed Society of BC and mail to: Rivershed Society of BC, Attn: Patti Graham, #97-100 Klahanie Drive, Port Moody. BC, Canada, V3H 5K3

SLLP Donors & Supporters
This program costs approximately $10,000 per participant. Thanks to generous support from our donors, like the Sprott Foundation, Gainey Foundation, North Growth Foundation, AGDN Law, the Cora McCoubrey Memorial Fund, Fin Donnelly and others, we are able to offer this program at a reduced rate. Thank you also to our other supporters who provide in-kind services: Quesnel River Watershed Alliance, Fraser River Raft Expeditions, Voyageur Adventures, Glen Valley Organics, Lillooet Naturalists Society. Each participant is responsible for covering the $1,500 registration fee.
We must receive your $1,500.00 registration fee (payable by cheque, VISA or Mastercard) by May 31, 2013. Your payment will be held until the selection process has been completed. Once you are selected, your payment will be processed. If you are not selected, your cheque will be returned to you.
You are encouraged to seek financial assistance from your community (e.g. local watershed or stewardship group, rotary or service club, band council, business association, etc.) to help cover your registration fee.
