Applicant Qualifications
You must be between 19 to 35 years old, physically fit, willing to lead, work hard, and have a strong interest in sustainable living. You are adventurous, creative, a community-builder and team player. Preference will be given to those who live and volunteer in the Fraser River Basin.
On the trip, you will help with meal preparation, camp set-up and other duties. Meals are local, organic and meatless where possible. We practice no trace camping. Drugs, alcohol and smoking are not permitted.
Only 10 participants accepted.

How to Apply
Email the following documents to patti@rivershed.com by Friday, May 18th, 2012:
- Your cover letter explaining your leadership qualities, volunteer history and why the SLLP is right for you (2 page limit)
- Your resumé including two references with contact information
- Your sustainability project idea summary, telling us about the sustainability project you will implement in your community after the trip (750 word limit)
along with your $1,500.00 registration fee (payable by cheque, VISA or Mastercard); make cheques payable to: Rivershed Society of BC and mail to: #97-100 Klahanie Drive, Port Moody. BC, Canada, V3H 5K3

SLLP Donors & Supporters
This program costs approximately $10,000 per participant. Thanks to generous support from our donors, like the Sprott Foundation, Gainey Foundation, AGDN Law, Fraser River Raft Expeditions, Voyageur Adventures, Quesnel River Watershed Alliance, the Cora McCoubrey Memorial Fund, Fin Donnelly and others, we are able to offer this program at a reduced rate. Each participant is responsible for covering the $1,500 registration fee.
Registration Fee
We must receive your $1,500.00 registration fee (payable by cheque, VISA or Mastercard) along with your registration package (registration form, cover letter, resume and project idea summary) by May 18, 2012. Your payment will be held until the selection process has been completed. Once you are selected, your payment will be processed. If you are not selected, your cheque will be returned to you.
You are encouraged to seek financial assistance from your community (e.g. local watershed or stewardship group, rotary or service club, band council, business association, etc.) to help cover your registration fee.
