The Rivershed Society of British Columbia (RSBC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health of BC’s longest river, the Fraser, and its riversheds.

The society formed in the wake of Fin Donnelly`s 1995 ‘Swim for Life’ – a 1,400 km three-week swim down the entire length of the Fraser River.

Since its inception in 1996, the RSBC has been actively delivering public education programs, community initiatives, and building stewardship capacity in the Fraser River Basin.

VISION

Salmon flourishing in rivers; people flourishing in communities.

MISSION

To conserve, protect and restore the health of BC riversheds in this generation.

SLLP scenery sunlight

The Sustainable Living Leadership Program (SLLP) is building a network of effective leaders within the Fraser River Basin who are encouraging their communities to conserve, protect and restore their riversheds. The goal of the SLLP is to have alumni in each of the Fraser River Basin’s 34 riversheds within this generation. An important component of the SLLP is the community projects alumni implement in their home communities upon completion of the program.

Since 2002, 94 community leaders have graduated from this program.

BECOME AN SLLP DONOR The SLLP costs approximately $10,000 per participant. Generous support from our donors allows us to offer the program at a reduced rate of $1,500 for each participant.

RIVERSHED DONOR ($20,000+)
RIVER DONOR ($10,000+)
CREEK DONOR ($5,000+)
