Benefits of Membership
We are happy to extend invitations to members for upcoming conservation and educational events. Past events have included salmon hatchery festivals, environmental conferences, museum and education centre exhibit openings, and more. From time to time we will email you updates, news about the Fraser River and/or us, and event invitations. You may opt out of receiving emails from us at any time.
You can donate to us by filling out this online form. This is an easy and secure way to donate to support our programs and services.
If you would like to give monthly or prefer to donate by phone, please email Carol.
We can always use extra hands and talent. To volunteer with the Rivershed Society of BC, please fill out this form to let us know how you would like to help out.
Buy the Book
Author Helen O’Brian wrote a book about our founder, Fin Donnelly, and his epic swims down the Fraser River in 1995 and 2000. The 96-page storybook is geared toward young adults (in grades 6-9), and gives the reader a sense of how powerful and important the Fraser River is to British Columbia.
The book is now available for purchase through RSBC for $25 (includes GST and shipping). To order a copy, please email Carol.
We are more than happy to accept items that might be useful in our field program, for our events, or volunteer time. Field equipment (such as GPS, video cameras, tree corers, or pH kits) help turn our Sustainable Living Leadership program and our school visits into amazing learning experiences. We would be forever grateful for a beautiful new event banner or somewhere dry to store our SLLP gear (two shrink-wrapped pallets). And, of course, volunteers are always welcome on our committees and to represent RSBC at events.
