April 11 – 13, 2014
This 2014 agenda featured Anna Warwick Sears, the Executive Director of the Okanagan Basin Water Board, a the keynote speaker. Raised in BC, she received a PhD in population biology at the University of California – Davis. Before returning to Canada in 2006, Dr. Sears was Research Director of a watershed NGO in Sonoma County, California. Dr. Sears is passionate about using science to solve real-world problems and building bridges with community stakeholders.
About the Venue
The registration fee included two nights accommodation at the Fraser River Raft Expeditions campus, meals, a field trip, and involvement in the weekend program.
Fraser River Raft Expeditions is located on the bank of the Fraser River at 30950 Trans Canada Highway, Yale, BC.
Sleeping accommodations were at the Fraser River Raft Expeditions campus. For those that preferred to stay in a motel instead, there were motels 5 minutes away in Yale.
Getting to the Forum
The address is 30950 Trans Canada Highway, Yale, BC, which is approximately 23 kms from Hope, BC, and 1 km west of Yale. The location is on the side of Hwy 1, in the Fraser Canyon. Watch for a big building with a red metal roof and cedar siding. More info.
