Application Information

Applicant Qualifications

You must be 18 years of age or older, physically fit, willing to lead and work hard. You are a team player that’s committed to making a difference in your community and getting to know like-minded people who are doing the same. Preference will be given to students who attend post-secondary in the Lower Fraser River Basin.

On the trip, you will help with meal preparation, camp set-up and other duties. Meals are local, organic and meatless where possible. Additionally, you will take part in activities and discussion designed to improve your leadership capabilities while connecting with fellow students. Drugs, alcohol and smoking are not permitted.

A maximum of 20 applicants are accepted.

Program runs June 1 – 3, 2018

How to Apply

To be eligible, you need to fill out the online registration form by Sunday, April 15th, 2018 attaching the following documents with your online application:

  • Your resumé including two references with contact information.

Acceptance into the Program

Participants will be notified regarding their acceptance into the program by either email or phone by April 30th, 2018.

Registration Fee

Selected participants must pay the $250.00 RCEL registration fee by May 10th, 2018. Payment instructions will be sent along with the acceptance package to those who are accepted.

You are encouraged to seek financial assistance from your school and community (e.g. local watershed or stewardship group, rotary or service club, band council, business association, etc.) to help cover your registration fee.
