Other Interesting Ways to Support Us

Donate

You can donate directly to us by printing and filling in a Donation Form and mailing it to us. Or you can donate online through CanadaHelps.org. This is an easy and secure way to donate to support our programs and services.

Matching Funds

Many large employers have a matching gift program with which they will match an employee's donation to a non-profit organization. We are more than happy to provide you with our charitable organization numbers when your employer requires it. If you're unsure whether your employer will match funds, let us know. We will find out for you and let you know.

In Kind

We are more than happy to accept items that might be useful in our field program, for our events, or volunteer time. Field equipment (such as GPS, video camera's, tree corers, or ph kits) help turn our Sustainable Living Leadership program and our school visits into amazing learning experiences. We would be forever grateful for a beautiful new event booth and/or banner. And of course, volunteers are always welcome on our committees and to represent RSBC at events.

Document Actions

Human activity is a major contributor to the loss of rivershed biodiversity. So it is up to us to protect and conserve riversheds for present and future generations. The problem was caused by small thoughtless actions; it can be solved with small thoughtful ones. Here are some examples of resolutions you can make to lessen your impact on your rivershed:

  • Eat organic food just a few more days per week, meat a few fewer days per week, and OceanWise seafood and local foods as much as possible
  • Turn off any lights and electronics when not in use, use renewable energy when possible, and
  • Choose to purchase products with less packaging than their competitors
  • Take transit one more day per week
